Extended Schools
Stay To Play Club and the Holiday Playscheme
Valley School has a long established link with Stockport CP to provide extended school activities for our children through the ‘Stay and Play’ club.
The Stay To Play Club runs once a week between 3.30pm and 5.00pm and provides a chance for the children to enjoy being together in a relaxed way after school.
If you are interested in your child attending the Stay To Play Club please contact the school directly.
The Holiday Playscheme takes place during selected weeks of the school holidays and previous schemes have proven to be a resounding success.
For the current school year (2016/17) we have run the Playscheme during selected holidays. The Summer Playscheme will run from 1st – 3rd August and 8th – 10th August. This will enable us to offer the Playscheme during October half-term.
During the next school year (2017/18) the Playscheme will run on the following dates:
- 24th and 25th October 2017
- 21st and 22nd February 2018
Future dates will be confirmed in Spring Term next year.
The Playschemes also provide an opportunity for siblings to come along and join in the fun with their brother or sister. If you are interested in your child attending the Holiday Playscheme please contact: Andrew Kilpatrick on 0161 432 1248 or alternatively contact Becky-Kate Taylor at Valley School.
Clinics The school nurse organises a number of regular medical clinics within school. These include appointments with a Paediatric consultant from Stepping Hill Hospital, the Dietician, Continence nurse, Orthoptic and the Dental service.
The school’s Physiotherapists arrange orthotic clinics and Occupational Therapists will invite specialist equipment providers into school.
You can contact Hannah Eglin (the school nurse) and Physio and OT directly on 0161 440 0338
